DALE VAN HORN
The deep voice of Dale Van Horn was silenced Thursday morning, August 30, 2001, when he passed away at the age of 53 of congestive heart failure. Dale was born in Valdese near Morganton and went to the Governor Morehead School for the Blind. Dale loved all kinds of music, particularly country and beach music.

Dale's friends have expressed a lot of interest in receiving copies of some of the materials he recorded over the years. As time permits over the next year, we hope to put together a CDR of jingles, spots, and maybe even some outtakes. We're actively seeking copies of any of Dale's work. If you have anything that you'd like to share, or if you'd like to add your name to the list to be notified if and when such a compilation becomes available, please click here. At this point, we're most interested in locating a reel-to-reel copy of the Monument sessions that Dale recorded in Nashville in the 70s. These are the sessions where he recorded "Carolina Sunshine" and "Quarter Past Ten," among others.

Shortly before his death, Dale released a CD of selected original and cover songs he recorded in the early 80s. This CD is available for $10.00, including shipping and handling. If you're interested in obtaining a copy of the CD, please send an email to info2 at dalevanhorn.com for more information.
